starting with the blogs, no blog update since week 12???????
it is nice to see the scores have finally updated. and the playoff brackets updated also.
What is the state of the KFBA, dont really here from the colonel or broham. Do you plan on returning next year? will you be back to your normal selves by next year?
What happened this year? did crack finally win?
based on the lack of comments, i think it's fair to say that crack finally won..
I'm still optimistic that there will be something reasonable here next year, and even in the summer.
I'd even like to contribute more. I think some of us who are active, and experienced, plus potentially enthusiastic newcomers, could step up for the commentaries, and let KFBA central focus on functions.
I also suspect they could really use a reliable, trustworthy, person with programing skills who is willing to volunteer some time and take the load off of Leigh.
We do all need to keep in mind that while technically a business, this is no one's full time job. My guess is no one's even getting paid at all.
I would be willing to help. i have only brought it up since years past this was a very active board , stats always updated, etc.... this year not so much of any of it. The football league i was in (keeper league also), started this year strong , then the same things started happening, and now its over. so i have no football league. But the KFBA was always my favorite, but the head honchos have been nowhere, they dont even respond on here anymore to the questions on the state of the league, and that worries me.
Okay, here's my State of the KFBA address...
Yeah, it's been a busy year for the Broham, Doug, Leigh & me. Leigh & I have been on a hospital system's software implementation for the past year and a half. Leigh travels across the country every week from NYC to Denver to work; I get to stay in Baltimore, but have seen my workload on the project double in the past six months. The Broham has been using his marketing & organizing super skills to promote RPI - the company for which Leigh & I also work. KFBA is the bills, it doesn't pay em. RPI pays our bills. Doug (the editor of our old articles) is almost finished with Law school - he takes the bar exam this summer.
Besides our jobs, you can blame women. Broham & Doug got married a couple years ago and are settled into that life. Leigh is next in line, we're waiting to hear a wedding date out of him. And saddly for KFBA, I've been living with my girlfriend since September - which limits my basketball watching time considerably.
The game will still be around next year and in future years, but we're going to rely on the users to keep leagues & message boards active. You've all learned everything we know, and have surpassed the masters in many Leagues.
Alien tomato woman stepping on fingernail clippings eating hamburger of dubious origin. Spinach pizza with fried chicken legs and an ivory-tipped cane standing bare feet on some dude's nipple. Two-legged ant crushed between eyelid and eyeball falls prey to a bionic camel.Just my two cents.
