What follows is a list of the twelve finalists for a position switch for the upcoming season.  We would like you to vote on whether we should switch 'em up by replying to this thread.  A "yes" vote for a particular player indicates that you would like the player's position to change; a "no" vote connotes that you would like him to stay at his current position.  Please consider position scarcity (we are a bit light on high-quality guards right now) in addition to accuracy.

The vote will stay open until Friday at noon EST.  A majority vote will switch the player's position.

1. Bargnani --  switch from F to C

2. R. Wallace -- from F to C

3. Stoudamire -- from F to C

4. Mahinmi -- from F to C

5. Villanueva -- from F to C

6. Frye -- from C to F

7. C. Butler -- from F to G

8. Pierce -- from F to G

9. G. Wallace -- from F to G

10. Iguodala -- from F to G

11. Batum -- from G to F

12. Battier -- from G to F

All righty.  The ballots have closed.  After less voter turnout than your average school board election sees, the only players who got the majority vote (4 of 6) necessary to change their positions are:

Bargnani (6 votes) -- now a C

Batum (6) -- now a F

Battier (6) -- now a F

Mahinmi (5) -- now a C

Frye (4) -- now a F

Probably only one change of consequence there.  Let's get 'em switched.

What a travesty that we didn't get any more solid guards.  In fact, we actually lost a few guards in the process.  This is going to hurt the game.  Colonel, consider intervening with your omnipotent powers (the omnipotence of which none of us would ever dare to question) and switching at least one of those swingmen to a G!  It will be a good reminder to us all that the Kentucky Fried experiment with democracy has failed the people.

I think the problem was that some of us differed as to which Fs we thought should become Gs.  If we could have rallied around, say, Butler and/or Wallace rather than splitting the vote, we would have switched at least one.  That said, the G/F balance is really no worse off.  Batum is not likely to be an impact guy and Battier is utter dreck.

Yeah I spotted the same problem so changed my votes to approve all the F to G proposals.  I hoped that would push at least one of them over the top.

Agreed that we're no worse off, but it was pretty ugly last year in terms of Gs.
