With the start of the crazy trading season, I though I'd start a thread on how to successfully trade your stars for keepers...
I noticed that JCPeery has started the madness - and he seems to go for giant multi-player trades... For me, I try to trade my stars individually - attempting to drum up interest in each one...
Does anyone want to provide helpful hints on good star-for-keeper strategies? Here's mine...
Be proactive - don't just accept what someone sends you... Identify the top keepers in your League and go after them... Make multiple offers and let it be known that your star has been offered to different teams - this may cause someone to bite on a less-than-stellar offer...

Sadly, my advice is to make the deals. I think the best values in both directions come early. There really aren't that many top stars on bad teams (uh, that's why they are bad) and there frequently aren't that many tradeable keepers on a good team. I don't know that I'd trade Kevin Martin (13) for much of anything. But then, I'm in for the long haul, which no doubt will cost me championships.
My goal is to be able to trade for more keepers for a team heading for a championship.
