This morning we experienced an outage at one of our California datacenters. We are working to get servers powered up and online as quickly as possible.
The following is a brief chronology of the outage. All times in the following are Pacific Time.This morning at approximately 2:50AM the datacenter experienced a severe power outage which caused air conditioning failures. We had staff onsite evaluating the issues within minutes. At 4:30AM due to quickly rising temperatures and to prevent hardware failures and potential data loss we began gracefully shutting down our infrastructure in this datacenter. Power and air conditioning were restored at 5:50AM and we began restarting servers by 6:00AM. We are working to get servers powered up and online as quickly as possible.
Intermedia will thoroughly investigate the incident together with the data center provider and will take steps to prevent such outages from happening in the future.
